Half Day Waterfall/Rain Forest Hike

Join us for one of two different valleys for our half-day hike, depending on where you are staying on Maui. For those staying in south and east Maui (Kihei, Wailea, Makena, Paia, Haiku, Huelo, Kahului, Wailuku) we drive half the Hana Highway (Hawaii's most famous historic road with gorgeous tropical scenery) to our own private valley. On the drive: deep valleys, steep sea cliffs, roadside waterfalls, bamboo forests, lush vegetation. Stop at a 31-acre botanical garden. Descend (from the garden) 300 feet down our private trail to a lovely stream. Swim in large pools under 30- and 40-foot waterfalls. Hike to a lookout to view a 200-foot falls. Roundtrip hiking is 1.5 miles, including lunch. For those staying on the west side (Lahaina, Ka`anapali, Honokowai, Kahana, Napili, Kapalua), we pick you up and drive north along the wild, remote side of West Maui. On the drive: spectacular rock formations and craggy sea cliffs. Hike 2.5 miles (roundtrip) into an isolated rainforest along a beautiful stream. Follow the stream to ancient stone-walled agricultural terraces. Sit in a peaceful bamboo forest. Swim in pools under small falls and shower under a 20-foot waterfall. View triple cascading, 20-, 30- and 40-foot waterfalls from a lookout point. Circle West Maui tour -- drive back by circumnavigating the West Maui Mountains. Lunch included.
