AM Ride

A moderately challenging ride suitable for most levels of riders. Two hours of riding time with 1/2 hour refreshment break of fresh fruit, variety of snacks and bottled water. Riders are matched by size and ability to an appropriate horse. Lessons provided for individual riders as needed by the owner/trainer. This ride climbs to Kalua O Lapa, the vent formed by the last eruption on Maui. A truly spectacular ride with panoramic views of the southern slope of Haleakala, the lava fields, LaPerouse Bay and the islands of Hawaii`i, Kaho`olawe, Lanai and Molokai. Makena Stables is owned and operated by Patrick and Helaine Borge, local folks who love horses first and foramost. Since 1983, Makena Stables offers much more than `just a trailride.`
