Introductory Course

This one-day course will give the student the opportunity to learn the basics of paragliding. The student will start at the bottom of the training hill and will gradually progress higher. Most students will be able to experience short solo flights by the end of the lesson. Includes all equipment, lesson time 3 hours. Proflyght`s instructors offer you the experience of soaring over the slopes of Haleakala. No prior experience is necessary! After a brief course on the basics, you will gear up and then take a few strides and fly away with your instructor. When you are ready you can take the controls and learn to maneuver about the sky. Paragliders are the slowest flying aircraft in the world, allowing lift off from the grassy shallow slopes with ease. TEAM PROFLYGHT is a team of highly experienced pilots and professional sport instructors, who love to share with you one of the most unique experiences this world has to offer. They are Hawaii`s first and oldest paragliding school, teaching paragliding since 1991. Proflyght has an outstanding safety record. The owners are USHGA Certified Advanced Tandem Instructors. ITEMS NEEDED: long pants, ankle supportive shoes, (boots & warm clothes are available) windbreaker or sweatshirt, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera and snacks.
