Haleakala Express

There is no hotel, resort or vacation rental pick-up. You meet at the bike shop at the Haiku Marketplace near Makawao, and are outfitted with a mountain bicycle, helmet, gloves, backpack and rain/wind gear. They have a full service bicycle store at the foot of Haleakala mountain where you can leave your car. They do not feed you, there are wonderful places to eat along the way. Their courtesy van takes you up the mountain. They furnish you with a nice, new Gary Fisher mountain bike, bicycle helmet, gloves, back pack, and rain/wind gear. You`re on your own to come down the mountain at your own pace. Some clients go straight down to the store. Others make a day of it, it`s your choice. You`ll be able to stop, get on and off the road when you want, and operate in your own comfort zone. The courtesy van will take guests up to the mountain for their unguided downhill bike ride back to the store in Haiku.
